選擇的樞紐字應該在三個以上，瀏覽者利用導航臺查詢信息時，鍵入的樞紐字往往很明確，如中國旅游代辦代理——Tour Agent China。假如你的網(wǎng)站內容不錯，而網(wǎng)址提交卻屢試不中，但又十分想踏進YAHOO大門，那么你可以考慮購買此項服務。選擇與站點內容最為貼切的兩三個樞紐字。但僅僅這樣是不夠的，像ALTAVISTA、YAHOO等有名的英文導航臺，天天申請登錄的就有幾千個網(wǎng)址，你的網(wǎng)站固然被收錄了，可是也許只能排在很靠后的位置。
1) YAHOO在1999年2月推出了“快速注冊”收費服務。所以要讓別人知道你的網(wǎng)站，你就要想辦法讓導航臺把你的網(wǎng)站收錄進去。 META里的Keywords和Description非常重要，它的格局為：
2)提交內容最豐碩的URL，不要只提交根網(wǎng)址(chinadenli.net)。
因為搜索目錄網(wǎng)站收錄網(wǎng)站的人為因素相對較多，因此在提交網(wǎng)站時要留意遵守規(guī)則。但假如碰勁這個頁面與其他頁面沒有做鏈接，那就需要一個橋頁，也就是新設計一個符合各項要求的頁面。所以一定要把握注冊技巧。最簡樸的辦法是看看同類產(chǎn)品或服務的網(wǎng)址在哪一個目錄下，好比你的產(chǎn)品是打火機，就查LIGHTER在什么目錄下，到那里去提交網(wǎng)址。

一．導航臺注冊技巧
這就是YAHOO、搜狐分別成為英文和中文訪問人次最多的導航臺的主要原因。
1) 樞紐字要正確選擇與放置。如YAHOO要求注冊站點描述不超過25個單詞。
ALTAVISTA、搜索客這樣的導航臺被稱做搜索引擎，它自動收錄提交的網(wǎng)址。不外YAHOO對此不做承諾，假如網(wǎng)站內容粗拙，交了錢可能也無濟于事。有幾個導航臺（如ALTAVISTA, Hotbot, Infoseek）使用META作為識別標志，所以要準確使用這些信息。 YAHOO工作職員會在收到199美金匯款后的七個工作日內，訪問你的站點并當真考慮是否將其收錄在YAHOO相應目錄中。
像YAHOO、LYCOS、ALTAVISTA、搜狐、搜索客、YEAH都是導航臺，它們的網(wǎng)站功能相似，都是把眾多的網(wǎng)站分門別類放到一個網(wǎng)站里，以便瀏覽者查詢。
像YAHOO、搜狐等導航臺采用手工方式收錄網(wǎng)址，以保證收錄網(wǎng)站的質量，在分類查詢時獲得的信息相關性比搜索引擎站點（靠SPIDER自動搜索的）更強。大部門導航臺不識別FRAME，所以一定要提交有內容的MAIN頁面。你在提交網(wǎng)址時要留意：
